Health experience in Brazil serves as an example at the 22nd International AIDS Conference
Brazil’s experience in public health in preventing, combating and treating AIDS will be highlighted at an international conference in Amsterdam (The Netherlands).
During the 22nd International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2018), the largest and most important global forum on the epidemic, Brazil will be present in nine debates and 12 scientific papers on this years theme: “Breaking barriers, building bridges”.
In this edition, which will be held from 23 to 27 July, the Ministry of Health will participate as a speaker of nine scientific sessions and will have a booth and a photographic exhibition on Combined Prevention Project with young people.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Brazil is considered one of the Latin American leaders in the fight against AIDS, being the first country in the region to offer PrEP and one of the first in the world to introduce dolutegravir, a topnotch drug for HIV treatments.
According to the organizers of the conference, the forecast is to gather 18,000 participants among scientists, managers, activists, health professionals and students.

Experiência em saúde no Brasil é exemplo na 22ª Conferência Internacional de AIDS
A experiência do Brasil em saúde pública na prevenção, no combate e tratamento da aids será destaque em uma conferência internacional, em Amsterdã (Holanda).
Durante a 22ª Conferência Internacional de Aids (AIDS 2018), o maior e mais importante fórum global sobre a epidemia, o Brasil estará presente em nove sessões de debates e com 12 trabalhos científicos em torno do tema “Quebrando barreiras, construindo pontes”.
Nesta edição, que será realizada de 23 a 27 de julho, o Ministério da Saúde participará como palestrante de nove sessões científicas e terá um estande e uma exposição fotográfica sobre projeto de Prevenção Combinada com jovens.
Exemplo
Segundo a Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS), o Brasil é considerado um dos líderes latino-americanos no combate à aids, sendo o primeiro país da região a ofertar a PrEP e um dos primeiros no mundo a introduzir em larga escala o dolutegravir, medicamento de primeira linha para o tratamento do HIV.
De acordo com os organizadores da conferência, a previsão é reunir 18 mil participantes entre cientistas, gestores, ativistas, profissionais de saúde e estudantes.
