Governor Camilo Santana met on Monday (12) in Paris, France, with the worldwide chairman of the Air France/KLM Board, Anne-Marie Courdec. During the meeting, the company celebrated the results of the air hub in Fortaleza – it reached 95% of economy class occupancy – and already evaluates the launch of new frequencies of direct flights from Fortaleza to Paris and Amsterdam, in addition to the five in operation and two already announced for this month and April/19.
“We have made a balance of the project and they are very satisfied and optimistic. The occupation of the economy class reaches 95% on average. Starting this month we will have one more weekly flight from Air France and, in April, another from KLM, when we will then have daily frequencies; this with only six months of project. And they are already considering to expand the frequencies. I put the State Government at the disposal to make this project a success case and connect Ceará with the world,” said the governor.
The meeting was also attended by Air France/KLM Vice-Presidents, Patrick Alexandre, Henri Hourcade and Patrick Roux. “The consolidation of the air HUB means more tourists, more frequency in hotels, new jobs and qualified jobs, which moves the economy of the state, attracting new companies. That is why we are investing in the training and qualification of labor, with the schools of Gastronomy and Hospitality, the Cearense Center of Languages and the vocational schools,” quoted Camilo Santana, who emphasized the importance of the State’s three hubs – Air, Port and Technology.
The governor also emphasized the growth of exports in the state with the consolidation of the air HUB and the importance of the partnership with the Port of Rotterdam, which will be fundamental for the expansion of the air HUB and the capture of new businesses for Ceará.

Em reunião com governador, Air France/KLM comemora sucesso de HUB aéreo
O governador Camilo Santana se reuniu no último dia 12, em Paris, na França, com a presidente mundial do Conselho Administrativo da Air France/KLM, Anne-Marie Courdec. Durante o encontro, a empresa comemorou os resultados do HUB aéreo em Fortaleza – está com 95% de ocupação da classe econômica – e já avalia lançar novas frequências de voos diretos de Fortaleza para Paris e Amsterdã, além das cinco em operação e outras duas já anunciadas para este mês e abril/19.
“Fizemos um balanço do projeto e eles estão muito satisfeitos e otimistas. A ocupação da classe econômica chega a 95% em média. A partir desse mês teremos mais um voo semanal da Air France e, em abril, outro da KLM, passando a ser frequências diárias; isso com apenas seis meses de projeto. E já avaliam ampliar as frequências. Coloquei o Governo do Estado à disposição para fazermos desse projeto um case de sucesso e conectar o Ceará com o mundo”, afirmou o governador.
A reunião contou ainda com a participação dos vice-presidentes da Air France/KLM, Patrick Alexandre, Henri Hourcade e Patrick Roux. “A consolidação do HUB aéreo significa mais turistas, mais frequência em hotéis, novos postos de trabalho e empregos qualificados, o que movimenta a economia do estado, com a atração de novas empresas. Por isso, estamos investindo na capacitação e qualificação de mão de obra, com as escolas de Gastronomia e Hotelaria, o Centro Cearense de Idiomas e as escolas profissionalizantes”, citou Camilo Santana, que ressaltou a importância da trinca de Hubs para o estado – Aéreo, Portuário e Tecnológico.
O governador também reforçou o crescimento das exportações no estado com a consolidação do HUB aéreo e a importância da parceria com o Porto de Roterdã, que será fundamental para a ampliação do HUB aéreo e a captação de novos negócios para o Ceará.
