The number of corporate bankruptcies, adjusted for court session days, has decreased. There were 10 fewer bankruptcies in June than in the previous month, according to Statistics Netherlands (CBS). The number of bankruptcies pronounced in the first half of 2021 is slightly more than half lower than in the first half of 2020.
Number of bankruptcies at low level
The number of corporate bankruptcies (excluding sole proprietorships), adjusted for court session days, fluctuates significantly. Ups and downs alternate in rapid succession. The number of bankruptcies peaked in May 2013 (816); it subsequently declined continuously until August 2017 inclusive and then became fairly stable up until mid-2020. The trend has been downward again since then. In February 2021, the number of bankruptcies (on a monthly basis) reached its lowest level since January 1991. In the months after February, it remained at a historically low level.
Most bankruptcies recorded in trade
If the number of court session days is not taken into account, 138 businesses and institutions (excluding sole proprietorships) were declared bankrupt in June. With a total of 25 (4 fewer than in May), the trade sector suffered most.
Trade is among the sectors with the highest number of businesses. In June, the number of bankruptcies was relatively highest in the sector renting and other business services.

Holanda: Menos falências em junho
O número de falências de empresas na Holanda, ajustado para dias de sessões judiciais, diminuiu. Foram 10 falências a menos em junho do que no mês anterior, de acordo com a Statistics Netherlands (CBS). O número de falências pronunciadas no primeiro semestre de 2021 é um pouco mais da metade do que no primeiro semestre de 2020.
Número de falências em nível baixo
O número de falências de empresas (excluindo empresas unipessoais), ajustado para dias de sessões judiciais, flutua significativamente. Subidas e descidas se alternam em rápida sucessão. O número de falências atingiu o pico em maio de 2013 (816); subsequentemente, diminuiu continuamente até agosto de 2017 inclusive e, em seguida, tornou-se bastante estável até meados de 2020. A tendência foi de queda novamente desde então. Em fevereiro de 2021, o número de falências (em uma base mensal) atingiu seu nível mais baixo desde janeiro de 1991. Nos meses após fevereiro, manteve-se em um nível historicamente baixo.
Maioria das falências registradas no comércio
Se o número de dias de sessão do tribunal não for levado em consideração, 138 empresas e instituições (excluindo empresas individuais) foram declaradas falidas em junho. Com um total de 25 (4 a menos que em maio), o setor de comércio foi o que mais sofreu.
O comércio está entre os setores com maior número de negócios. Em junho, o número de falências foi relativamente maior no setor de aluguel e outros serviços prestados às empresas.
