Statistics Netherlands (CBS) reports that the volume of investments in tangible fixed assets in December 2020 was the same as in December 2019. In the previous eight months, investments still contracted year-on-year. Investments in computers, machinery and passenger cars were higher in December, but this growth was offset by fewer investments in aircraft and infrastructure.
Investment data have not been adjusted for calendar effects. December 2020 has two working days more than December 2019. According to the CBS Investment Radar, conditions for investments in the Netherlands in February are virtually as unfavourable as they were in December.
Investment climate in February virtually as unfavourable as in December
Every month, CBS publishes updates on the investment climate in the CBS Investment Radar. Relevant circumstances for the investment climate include the situation on the financial markets. Although the radar indicators show a strong correlation with investments in fixed assets, improved circumstances are not necessarily translated into increased growth or a smaller decline in investments.
According to the CBS Investment Radar, the investment climate in the Netherlands in February is virtually as unfavourable as it was in December. On the one hand, the year-on-year increase in share prices was more substantial, the industrial capacity utilisation rate increased and manufacturers were less pessimistic about their order positions. On the other hand, export growth turned into decline.

A Statistics Netherlands (CBS) informa que o volume de investimentos em ativos fixos tangíveis em dezembro de 2020 na Holanda foi o mesmo que em dezembro de 2019. Nos oito meses anteriores, os investimentos ainda estavam contraídos em relação ao ano anterior. Os investimentos em computadores, máquinas e automóveis de passageiros foram maiores em dezembro, mas esse crescimento foi compensado por menos investimentos em aeronaves e infraestrutura.
