The Netherlands delivers new headquarters to EMA

Exactly two years after the announcement that EMAwould come to the Netherlands, its new building inZuidas, Amsterdam is finished. The new building was built in 18 months. The Netherlands did their utmost to avoid any interruption of the important work of the agency. The new  premises has  1,300 workplaces and 19 conference rooms. Furthermore, it is sustainably designed and built. It has, for instance, a 60 meter high green wall filled with almost 53,000 plants. The new building also has a large conference room where public hearings for patients and healthcare professionals can be held. EMA brings annually 36,000 visitors to the Netherlands. It also attracts a lot of companies and it reinforces the Life Sciences & Health sector.

Minister Bruins: “It is a beautiful and important achievement that EMA will be able to move in this new building in time as promised. Built at a high pace and in a very short time frame. EMA must always continue its important work without hindrances by assessing the quality and safety of medicines in the interest of patients. I am proud of the cooperation between the various departments, the Corporate Government Real Estate Agency, the city of Amsterdam, the construction company (Dura Vermeer/Heijmans) and EMA. This all led to a fantastic building ready for the future.

With our move to the final building, the Agency will finally be able to refocus fully on our important mission for public and animal health.”

I also wholeheartedly thank all the EMA staff who went through some turbulence in the interest of public health. The importance of the work done by EMA cannot be underestimated.”

Removal

EMA and the Netherlands will use the weeks after the delivery to  prepare  the building to be ready for operation. EMA is currently temporarily  housed in the Spark building in Amsterdam. The move to the new building will take place around Christmas. It will be coordinated and executed by the Netherlands. In January 2020 the move will be finished. From January 20, EMA will be fully operating from the new building.

Holanda entrega nova sede à Agência Europeia de Medicamentos

A Holanda entregou oficialmente a nova sede à Agência Europeia de Medicamentos (EMA). O ministro Bruno Bruins (Saúde, Assistência e Esportes) elogiou todas as partes envolvidas nessa conquista, especialmente porque o novo prédio foi construído em um prazo muito curto. O novo edifício ajudará a EMA a continuar realizando suas atividades avaliando medicamentos sem interrupção. Ele está situado no Zuidas, em Amsterdã.

Exatamente dois anos após o anúncio de que a EMA chegaria à Holanda, seu novo prédio inZuidas, Amsterdã, foi concluído. O novo prédio foi construído em 18 meses. A Holanda fez o possível para evitar qualquer interrupção do importante trabalho da agência. As novas instalações possuem 1.300 locais de trabalho e 19 salas de conferências. Além disso, foi projetada e construída de maneira sustentável. Possui, por exemplo, um muro verde de 60 metros de altura, preenchido com quase 53.000 plantas. O novo prédio também possui uma grande sala de conferências, onde podem ser realizadas audiências públicas para pacientes e profissionais de saúde. A EMA traz anualmente 36.000 visitantes para a Holanda. Também atrai muitas empresas e reforça o setor de Ciências da Vida e Saúde.

Ministro Bruins: “É uma conquista bonita e importante que a EMA seja capaz de se mudar para este novo prédio a tempo, conforme prometido. Construído em um ritmo alto e em um período de tempo muito curto. A EMA deve sempre continuar seu importante trabalho sem obstáculos, avaliando a qualidade e a segurança dos medicamentos no interesse dos pacientes. Tenho orgulho da cooperação entre os vários departamentos, a Agência Imobiliária do Governo Corporativo, a cidade de Amsterdã, a empresa de construção civil (Dura Vermeer / Heijmans) e a EMA. Tudo isso levou a um edifício fantástico pronto para o futuro.

Mudança

A EMA e a Holanda usarão as semanas após a entrega para preparar o edifício para estar pronto para a operação. Atualmente, a EMA está temporariamente instalada no edifício Spark em Amsterdã. A mudança para o novo prédio ocorrerá por volta do Natal. Será coordenado e executado pelos Países Baixos. Em janeiro de 2020, a mudança será concluída. A partir de 20 de janeiro, a EMA estará operando totalmente no novo prédio.
