The Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI), BusinessEurope and the Portuguese Business Confederation (CIP) will hold on Friday (30) the “Mercosur-EU Agreement and the business commitment to sustainability” webinar.
The event will be broadcast on CNI’s YouTube channel, from 14:45 to 17:00 (Amsterdam time). Registrations can be made on the CIP page. The meeting has the support of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union. See the complete schedule.
The opening will be held by the president of CIP, António Saraiva, by the director of Institutional Relations of CNI, Mônica Messemberg, and by the director general of BusinessEurope, Markus Beyrer. Then, the European Commission’s executive vice president and trade commissioner, Valdis Dombrovskis, will speak about the implementation of the agreement.
At 10:35, there will be a sustainability panel with representatives from companies such as Bayer AG, Basf, BRF, Scania, Klabin and Salzburger Aluminum AG. The closure will be carried out by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Ambassador Carlos Alberto Franco França, and by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Augusto Santos Silva.

Empresários brasileiros e europeus discutem sustentabilidade e conclusão do acordo Mercosul-UE
A Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI), a BusinessEurope e a Confederação Empresarial de Portugal (CIP) realizarão na sexta-feira (30) o webinar Acordo Mercosul-UE e o compromisso empresarial com a sustentabilidade.
O evento será transmitido pelo YouTube da CNI, das 9h45 às 12h. As inscrições podem ser feitas na página da CIP. O encontro conta com o apoio da Presidência Portuguesa do Conselho da União Europeia. Veja a programação completa.
A abertura será realizada pelo presidente da CIP, António Saraiva, pela diretora de Relações Institucionais da CNI, Mônica Messemberg, e pelo diretor-geral da BusinessEurope, Markus Beyrer. Em seguida, o vice-presidente executivo da Comissão Europeia e Comissário do Comércio, Valdis Dombrovskis, falará sobre a implementação do acordo.
Às 10h35, haverá um painel sobre sustentabilidade com representantes de empresas como Bayer AG, Basf, BRF, Scania, Klabin e Salzburger Aluminium AG. O encerramento será realizado pelo ministro das Relações Exteriores do Brasil, embaixador Carlos Alberto Franco França, e pelo ministro dos Negócios Estrangeiros de Portugal, Augusto Santos Silva.
